"We're Mt. St. Helens and we forgot our merch."

On Thursday night I went up to the Empty Bottle (solo) to see Mt. St. Helens and Rollo Tomasi. Some other band was playing in the middle, but I don't remember their name and would prefer not to. Mt. St. Helens is a band that I really like. The vocals, the instrumentation, the orchestration. Definitely the percussion. Great guitar effects create heavenly - or at least unearthly - audio sensations.

Rollo Tomasi seems to have changed since the last time I've seen them. I don't remember them being quite so straightforward. I also think the last time I saw them that they were a three-piece. This could be my imagination as well.

At the show I ran into the ultra-amazing and super neat-o Drew Ballantyne, who's just a cool guy and always brings a smile to my face. He also did the photographs for Farewell Society back in the day. That day was an adventure.
