Dance for Life and some other stuff
Just a couple random things.
First, The bucketstrip above is a sampling of pictures I took at Dance for Life this year. Since All the pictures came out blurry, I didn't really feel like going into an in-depth analysis of the event. I'll just make a couple remarks.
- As usual, my favorite piece was by Melissa Thodos Dance
- The Venue was only slightly better, for technical reasons, in terms of the performance; the venue was pretty terrible in terms of the VIP pre-party, which was hot and uncomfortable and cramped
- I didn't find the finale, choreographed by Randy Duncan, to be as dynamic and interesting as the previous finales, not that it was terrible or anything; it was still quite good
Also, of interest probably only to me, and fans of trivia, I recently was uploading my cd collection to my computer. A couple days ago, I thought I was finished, with about 23 gigs of memory, but then I thought "I'll go look up in my loft in case I've missed anything," and sure enough, there were over 50 cds hidden up there. I'm about halfway through with this lot and am at about 26 gigs, or 7780 songs. Yeah, so I like music.
Lastly, a friend of mine was talking about The Facts of Life and the fact that Molly Ringwald was in the first few episodes. Fascinated, I decided to Netflix it. I saw the first episode, a heartwarming little affair about the difference between sisterly love and lesbianism, basically, and didn't notice her. I had look it up on google to realize this was her:
Boy did she get cuter with age. But I should watch what I say, because she sorta looks like Nicholas from Eight is Enough:
People used to always say I looked like him when I was little:
Anyway, after watching two episodes, I was satisfied (the second episode was about just because Blair's mom is a slut, doesn't mean that Blair has to be a slut even if she looks and acts like one). I'm not watching the other four episodes on the disk nor am I going to watch the rest of the first season (though it was fun making those quick synopses, wasn't it?)
