Picking up the pieces
Or..."Starting Over."
A few weeks ago, my hosting service kind of just stopped hosting me. It got set up by a friend and I've never really quite known how it got paid for or anything like that and I don't really have any contact at the place that was hosting, so I kind of can't even look into it. I don't really talk to that friend anymore either. Even if I did, I'm pretty sure they'd ask me to start paying for the hosting, and I don't really see the point. The only difference between my own domain name and the blogspot one is the word "blogspot" right in the middle. Seems like a small sacrifice. Besides, I never seemed able to make anything real happen when I had my own domain name.
On the other hand, all my art pages are gone, now, which kind of sucks. Hopefully I'll figure out a way to put up gallery type pages that are static using the blogger tools or perhaps just host things somewhere else.
Another recent problem I've had is that I had an external hard drive on which I was storing pretty much all my data. Photos, writing, old school papers, you name it. It's all pretty much gone now. I keep hoping this dread I feel will turn into a feeling of liberation, but that hasn't happened yet.
So here I am, starting again. Hopefully everyone hasn't forgotten about me. And hopefully I'll get a camera soon so that I can post pictures of pretty things.
