PIckles Update

So, it turns out that though Pickles enjoyed her new surroundings, her new house wasn't going to work out. Her new house was a 1-story ranch-style house. In the warmer months they keep the windows up with screens, and apparently Pickles tried to escape the house through one of the screens when the owners weren't home. The considered kenneling her, and called Claude to ask him about that. He reminded her that when I kenneled her, she struggled so much against her kennel that she cut up her face and nose all over. So, Pickles is now back in Claude's care. He seems to think she'll be in better shape with him than with me because he brings her everywhere and because he has a back yard. I tried to remind him that she's jumped his back yard fence in the past, but oh well, it's his problem now.

Everyone get ready to say goodbye to Pickles. I'm now actively looking for a no-kill shelter to be her new home. She bit me (not enough to break skin, but she bit me) today when I was correcting her when she was wanting to attack a dog behind a fence.

I'm just tired of living with constant anxiety.

I'll miss her. Racecar won't. He'll get his old, easy life back.
